How can animals live with no eyes? Why do dung beetles eat nothing but poop? Where do desert creatures find water? The world contains many extremely unusual plants, animals, bugs, and other creatures. They have adapted to their environment. Animals living deep in dark caves don’t need eyes because it’s too dark to see. Dung beetles live in poop, sleep in poop, and even eat poop. It might seem unusual to us, but poop is home sweet home to them. Desert creatures have adapted by finding many ways of conserving water. Take the desert tortoise, for instance. It can store a year’s worth of water in its bladder. But watch out when it has to pee!
