Shyanna Angler

Shyanna’s competitive spirit and beautiful singing voice make her a wonderful entertainer, but she’s a little shy and suffers from stage fright. Her best friends Rachel and Cora are always there to support her, and Shyanna loves helping her friends, too.
Rachel Marlin

Rachel moved to Neptunia from Caspian, the kingdom that’s closest to land (and humans!). She’s talented, sweet, and cheerful, but she misses her best friend Owen. Although Rachel doesn’t get to see Owen as often, she loves her new best friends Shyanna and Cora!
Cora Bass

Cora is the oldest of her siblings and the official family babysitter. She’s always busy with her younger sisters or helping her mom around the house, but she’d rather be on the move than staying still. Cora loves sports and is one of the fastest mermaids in the kingdom!

  • Mermaid Kingdom refers to all the kingdoms in the sea, including Neptunia, Caspian,
    Hercules, Titania, and Nessland

  • Mermaids get their legs on their 13th birthday at the stroke of midnight. After their
13th birthday, mermaids can go on land for short periods of time but must be very
    careful because…

  • Mermaids are able to stay on land with legs for no more than forty-eight hours!
Any longer and they will not be able to get their tails back and will be human forever.

  • Mermaids are not allowed to tell humans about the mermaid world unless they
have special permission from the king and queen.
Like most 12-year-old girls, Shyanna, Rachel, and Cora deal with the daily dramas of growing up. Unlike other 12-year-old girls, they deal with it underwater as mermaids. The allure of life on land is a constant presence in the life of a mermaid, and friendships are tested with secrets, lies, and jealousy. The magical and mysterious world of merpeople is brought to life in Mermaid Kingdom.
